Tzatziki and crispy strips

Yes, I know that this post is about food and it's not fashion related but I just adore cooking.
So tonight I craved for this yogurt sauce that greeks call tzatziki (I miss #Greece also) and I made some crispy strips to go along with it.
The recipe is very simple so if you're not on a diet, you must try it.
For the tzatziki you will need:
  • 350 g greek yogurt (mine was 10% fat)
  • 1 fresh cucumber
  •  2 table spoons of olive oil
  • some garlic
  • 1 table spoon of lemon juice
  • salt & pepper
  • some dill (or even better 5-6 leafs of mint).
Crispy strips require:
  • 500 g of chicken strips
  • 200 g cornflakes
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • salt & pepper
  • paprika (if you like).
  • 2 cups of oil (to fry).
For the tzatziki you will have to chop the garlic and then the cucumber into fine parts, get rid of the excess water that comes from this process (cucumbers as you know have a lot of water inside them but we want our sauce to be thick and creamy) and then mix all the ingredients together and we're done.
Crispy strips are also easy to do : first salt & pepper the chicken strips, then mix them first with flour, then in the scrambeled eggs and then in the crushed cornflakes (use a food processor to make them into smaller pieces - not too small because we want our crust to be crispy). After that they are ready to go in the pan or fryer (well covered in oil) until they are done (the crust must be golden).
I served everything with fresh toast.
See, it's so easy and I promise it's delicious too.
If you like this kind of posts, please let me know.
Till next time, guys.
